Knuckle sandwich

The plan was to go and see a movie in Gold Class with Fi today. Just a few rounds of Mirinda’s (very loud) coughing was enough to convince us this was probably not a good idea. So, instead, we decided to go for a drive down to Wiseman’s Ferry for a wander and lunch.

On the way we stopped off at the lookout at the top to take in the glorious views of the Hawkesbury.

We were quite keen on going for lunch in the Hidden Valley restaurant but someone has decided to sell it. We wandered around the art gallery and antique shop, instead, eventually ending up at the pub, where the steak sandwiches are called knuckle sandwiches, the beer is cold and the meals are guarded by a few of these chaps.

It was the perfect day for sitting outside in the sun, enjoying lunch and a beer. So we did.

Fi is returning to Queensland tomorrow. We’ll miss having her here. She really is my favourite sister-in-law.

I think she might be your only sister in law. Good Mirinda is out in the sun will do her a lot of good good fresh air.
