We had our first viewing on Friday (“Sorry, the house is too small and we really, really need something bigger than a doll’s house“) and our second today (haven’t heard any feedback yet). It’s quite odd knowing people have wandered around your house while you’re not there.
On Friday it was easy. We were on our way to Portsmouth. Today, however, we decided to pick the dogs up during the designated time. We were going to take them for a walk around Frensham (actually I was…Mirinda had to finish her book for the Book Group this afternoon and was going to sit in the car) but Sidney had other ideas and just sailed happily by the turning.
We managed to get back to the house after they’d been anyway, so Mirinda went inside to read while I took an insane pair of poodles up to the castle and back.
Earlier we’d taken a couple more loads of stuff up to the storage unit, including a box that I sealed in 2007 and which hasn’t been unsealed since. I’m just going to see how long it can remain sealed. I’m thinking possibly forever.
The rest of the day was spent keeping the place tidy, washing the dogs, weeding and mowing. Mirinda successfully finished the three volume novel Cecilia by Fanny Burney (there’s a seriously insane person quoted on this website who thinks Cecilia is his most favourite book ever but I warn you, do not click the link to go to the next page – it’s full of ads and popups) and had a lovely time at her book group. And we watched the first episode of the second series of Downton Abbey.
Great! If you have got Downton Abbey then it wont be to long for us I hope. We loved it.
