Today was so busy I forgot to take any photos. That hasn’t happened for a long time.
I washed the girls before heading for the gym first thing then back home to Skype with mum. Then, after a bit of mammoth house-working effort, I walked up to Farnham to have lunch with Uncle Buster and Loris, dropping off a load of dry cleaning on the way.
Naturally we met at the Nelson Arms for lunch, where we had a lovely chat, beer and food (ham, egg and chips without the chips or ham and eggs, as the waiter called it). We rarely see each other (Uncle Buster and Loris, not the waiter) so it’s always a pleasure. Given they’ve never met Mirinda, we arranged for them to come to the house for lunch in August.
We spent the next two hours talking about all manner of things like mum’s knee, Stuart’s recent trip to Amsterdam, their impending trip to Canada and how fortunate we are to have two passports.
Afterwards, we strolled down to the car and said our farewells. I was then off shopping for half provisions for the weekend given I’ll not have a chance to shop on Friday or Saturday. I’ll get the other half tomorrow.
Back at home (eventually) I took the girls for a walk before heading back to the never-ending housework.
I find, given I’m currently on OMAD, that keeping myself busy during mealtimes makes it a lot easier. For the uninitiated, OMAD stands for One Meal A Day and is the payment for two weeks in France. To be completely honest, one meal is more than enough.
When I explained it to Nicktor he wondered whether I just ate twice as much once a day but I explained that that would be TAMOAD.
The weather continues dry, hot and humid.
You didn’t say why U Buster and Loris wanted to see you I suppose because they hadn’t seen you for a long time and I never relise’d they hadn’t ever met Miranda so that will be nice. what did they say about my knee did you tell them I might not make it this year. Love mum xxx
