Nelson and his arms

Today, while Denise and Tracey were missing out on seeing Disneyland Paris because it was closed after last night’s little assertion of religious stupidity, mum met Sophie and Tom.

Chez Gaz was closed for the day so we went into Farnham to sup at the Nelson Arms (my favourite Farnham pub). Mum and Mirinda had the ham, egg and chips while I, in a fit of change, had the extremely filling rabbit pie. According to Sophie, their food wasn’t as good as mine.

After lunch, Tom and I watched Earth to Echo, a sort of updated version of ET, while mum dozed in a chair, pretending to read.

It had its moments and I really liked the way it was filmed by the kids but not really a patch on ET…Tom agreed with this.

Still, very enjoyable and mum almost watched some of it.

“There’s a lot of crashing and banging in this movie,” she claimed.

Eventually Mirinda and Sophie returned and told us to turn the tv down…which meant I missed a lot of the dialogue from the last bit.

Then it was time to leave so we waved goodbye as Max took them up to the station in order for Mirinda to do her platform dance with the Tominator.
