I rarely get any comments on my blog. That’s fine. I generally write for my own entertainment, anyway. However, yesterday’s post (Sabrina’s Hotpot) did get a comment. I didn’t approve it, so you can’t see it. It was the single word, ‘Yawn’ and was from that great commentator of the 21st century, Mr Anonymous. I can only assume Mr Anonymous – it could only be a male – will not be back. I’m not bothered, I just think it’s funny how people are quite happy to say horrid things when they can hide behind anonymity.
To be fair to Mr Anonymous, though, today was a bit ‘yawn’ as well. So anyone affected by boring content, please look away now and don’t bother commenting. Unless you want to write more than one word.
In a nutshell, today went like this: Mirinda went to work and I spent most of the day doing laundry. Ho hum, eh? Oh, I also took the girls to the park, so that was a bit exciting. And, I found one of the strangest things I’ve spotted on a park bench.
That’s a dog harness and a set of keys. And I can’t imagine how anyone would lose them.
I guess the person could have been sitting on the bench and took the harness off the dog (I can’t imagine why) and the dog ran off. The person then ran after the dog, leaving the harness (and the keys?) behind. That seems unlikely, but I couldn’t work out another explanation. Maybe you can. Please leave a comment. Or not.
It was still there when we headed for home. But, as we approached The Dell, I heard a shriek and turned to see a woman, two men and two dogs, approach the bench. The woman held the harness aloft in great triumph and glee. It sounded like she’d forgotten where she’d left them.
The weather had been a bit grey all day but not really threatening rain. Until we were in the park, of course. Which was why we headed for home. Even the sky was dull.
As it turned out, it didn’t rain, though it was very windy, which filled the extension with autumn leaves.
Yawn.
