Permissable pathways

I went for my first walk since foot and mouth. I walked from Alton to Selbourne via the Hanger Way. It was beautiful. Fields, woods, all sorts. I saw a deer in a clearing (it spotted me and ran off). Didn’t see another human being until 11:40 having started the walk at 09:10. They were walking a dog.

I had a beer at The Queen’s in Selbourne (Autumn Frenzy) then rang Mirinda to come and get me. She didn’t answer (she was on the phone to Adele) so I said I was heading back via Farringdon.

There’s a new permissable path between Hall Lane and West Worldham – Farringdon.

Mirinda rang back and we arranged to meet at Cassandra’s in Chawton.

I found another permissable path which runs beside the A32 where we used to walk on the road, we now walk between the road and field. Excellent stuff. MAFF responsible for both.

Had a piece of fruit cake at Cassandra’s then off to Sainsbury’s to shop, then Next Door at the George for lunch.

Got home and into a lovely, relaxing bath. Sore heel and lump at top of leg, right hand side, in the crease.

I made carrot cake. Bed at 10pm. Excellent day.
