Our soil is alkaline. Even the soil that was put into the raised beds was alkaline ( I don’t think this was a conscious decision on Dave’s part). At some stage we planted some acid loving plants in the alkaline soil of the raised beds. They didn’t do very well.
Mirinda decided we needed to get some acid compost (ericaceous) to fill a few big pots. Then I could transplant the acid loving plants into the acid soil.
We bought the compost yesterday and I did the transplants today. Hopefully this will improve them.
We also bought some alkaline plants to fill the resultant holes in the raised beds.
It may be a while before I can plant them though because the tulip placement makes it a bit difficult.
All up it was a pretty exhausting day in the garden for all four of us. Still, very satisfying.
Yes it sounded like it but must be well pleased with your selves. I love the Budda .
