Carmen’s last walk

Today we went to Frensham and went on Carmen’s Last Walk around the pond. Mirinda pointed out all the spots where they stopped last Saturday. The day was glorious and made a fitting farewell to my lovely Carmelita.

A lot of other people clearly wanted to do the same thing. Our normal carpark is presently half closed because of a big pile of, what appears to be, horse manure. It takes up half the car spaces. Not that it would have made a lot of difference if it hadn’t been there. Cars lined the narrow country lane and the main carpark was almost full.

Sidney, being sensibly small, easily slotted into a shoebox sized space and we set off.

I think there was more people at Frensham today than I’ve ever seen there. The crowds, normally reserved for the big pond, were cavorting on the small beach, splashing in the water and having family picnics. The weather was so good, that the gods had obviously insisted that the entire population of outer London come and enjoy it.

The day started with Mirinda Skyping with Bob and Fiona (though they couldn’t see each other, Mirinda could see both and passed on visual observations) followed by lunch and our walk.

A lovely day, sprinkled with memories of a happy little poodle.

Poor little Carmen. It was a beautiful day on her last walk too, though not quite so busy.

Gary did laugh rather when I pointed out where she did her very final poo 🙁
