On Thursday, one of the headlines read for the Talking Newspaper was concerned with what was going on at Frensham Little Pond. A production company has taken over the little pond in order to film Snow White and the Huntsman, a new version of the Snow White story.
While the locals are very upset, it has only increased the number of out-of-towners wandering around. I thought the Strand was bad last night when we came out of the theatre but this was extraordinary. It felt almost the same. Groups wandering around with no idea whatsoever of woodland etiquette. If Frensham was like this all the time we’d never go! I hope they never discover Hankley.
Anyway, the huts that have been built on the shore of the pond look brilliant. We really thought it would be great if they left them there. They just look so natural. Of course they won’t. Too much opposition and too much risk some stupid child would hurt itself on one of them. Also the contract would say they had to return the place to how it looked before they arrived. Shame.
Mind you, having created quite a few sets myself, I know they only look good from the outside. Still, the illusion is wonderful. It’s just a pity the sun was rapidly vanishing.
Having just watched a trailer, I think I might enjoy it.

One of the funniest things we’ve seen for a long time was Day-z’s reaction to the new path. She raced out the back door as usual at top speed but then, suddenly, a mere six feet onto the path she stopped, shocked. Her tail dropped and she looked down, sniffing, clearly frightened. Her whole world had been turned upside down.
Carmen didn’t actually notice the new path.
At least they did not dig it up don’t think Dave would have liked it.
love mum
It’s true poor day-z – she crept off the path like she was in trouble.
Carmen just made dents in it.
The reed huts are I think the 7 dwarves’ houses just gorgeous!
