Delayed pain and chocolate bliss

I went to the gym with Mirinda this morning. Not to her class. I reckon I would just fall over if I did something like that. No, I used the machines while she danced away with KSP and her crowd of vigorous women. (There was a man once, but he vanished after one class.)

I rode for 20 minutes then lifted some weights before doing the leg spreading thing that has cushions between the knees. I actually sweated. A lot. I know I am going to ache tomorrow given this is the first time since before the pandemic which caused my gym to close.

Still, it was an excellent work-out and the delayed pain is worth it.

Talking about pain…upon our return to the house, we discovered that Freya had started her latest season. I dug out the nappy and made her ‘safe’. Of course, this meant she didn’t get to go for a walk when Mirinda went in the late afternoon with Emma.

At first, Freya was unsure why she was missing out, but then she just curled up on my lap and went to sleep. According to Mirinda, Emma is never as confident when she’s on her own. I guess that’s because she doesn’t have anyone to pick on.

In fact, the two of them spent two periods alone today. There was the gym, of course, but then, after lunch, there was also a trip to Skärholmen to pick up a couple of bedside tables that Mirinda had won on Auctionet.

I love the way most of the new furniture in the Red House is, in fact, not new but previously owned. None of it comes from China for a start. (Have I said before how IKEA stuff is now made in China?) It’s also already been made, so requires no input of additional energy. It also feels like it has a history.

We also tried to have a coffee in Trosa but, of course, it being a Monday, everything in the centre was closed. So we went home instead.

And, news just in

There has been a raid at the Lindt factory in Switzerland. Police are looking for these three and urges the public to remain calm and avoid at all costs.

Word from Switzerland is that they are having a marvellous time. They have scaled mountains, looked down on glaciers, been on a train, and Jason rode a bike down a very steep hill. Clearly they deserved chocolate.
