Rotten weather for repairs

Spare a thought for poor Abdullah who worked diligently in the rain for a few hours this evening. He was here because, the other day, Max told us he needed his brake pads replacing. I used the brilliant Click Mechanic yesterday, and Abdullah answered the call, turning up at about 4pm today.

The rain was horrendous for most of the day. Then there was a small window of blue sky and sunshine. Just enough for me to sweep the leaves on the terrace.

Obviously, I only need to clear a path to the steps. I will eventually clear them away but, for the moment, I have to be careful because, while the terrace is never slippery, a few wet leaves can be treacherous. So I sweep them aside and walk confidently out to my office.

Of course, the next big breeze blew a lot more leaves down and then, when the rain returned late on, another tree load was dumped.

In the meanwhilst, poor Abdullah worked away.

He finished at around 7pm. He did an excellent job in very trying conditions. Max was very pleased, Mirinda was very pleased and I was delighted. Particularly given Mirinda had to drive to guitar class, and you really want your brakes to be working.

Cheers, Abdullah.

And, just a note in passing. Whenever BeReal calls me, I seem to be either preparing or dishing up food.

This happens too regularly to be a coincidence. In fact, it has now come to the point where people ask where the food is when I post something else. The burning question for me, though, is how does BeReal know?
