We bought two standard lamps in Trosa this morning and Jim’s poodle pissed on one while we stood talking. As well as telling the poodle off, Jim told us that the guy that runs the vegetable stand outside the library, calls him The Poodle Man and his wife, Lena is called the Poodle Man’s Wife. Jim also said he doesn’t go into local shops anymore because everyone recognises him and he feels guilty about not buying anything.
Initially I was heading into Trosa in order to visit the bank in order to get my BankID sorted on my new phone. This was done in quick order and I can now use Swish. Yay! How Swedish am I?
In the meanwhilst, Sharon & Jud went to Stockholm to wander around the Swedish History Museum and Skansen. Sadly, the Yggdrasil display in the History Museum, the one where I sat last summer and listened to the tales of the Norse gods, wasn’t working. It was the one thing I recommended to Sharon and it was the one thing that wasn’t working.
Speaking of Sharon, she has become Freya’s best friend. It used to be that my lap was Freya’s go to place but, since Sharon has been with us, that’s where she goes. Instantly.
Freya isn’t Sharon’s only close friend, her phone misses her so much, if she’s too far away, it will cry until she retrieves it. She also needs to keep her glucose levels at a good level and the phone tells her what her levels are. When the levels get too low she goes a bit crazy, according to Jud.
He recalled a time before the advent of the lonely phone when Sharon started acting a bit weird. Eventually, an ambulance was called and she was dragged away in a straight jacket in the back of a padded van. Jud, always the ever loving husband asked if she was okay. Her response was a big thumbs up followed by a loud “JUST DANDY!”
Fortunately, the phone has put an end to such extremes. Mind you, Sharon verged on the crazy tonight for a short while as she searched for some carbs. Fortunately, she found some and her phone shut up for a bit.
