Not long now

I moved the Christmas tree to the stick pile today. My knee is much better, allowing me to load and wheel the barrow from the terrace to the back of the garden. It also helped that it didn’t rain. Which also helped me take down the Christmas lights and pack them away.

The day was full of trip preparations, again. It feels like we’ve had a lot more to do than last time, when we just upped sticks and went. Mind you, we weren’t de-stuffing as well, which has made it a bit more intense this time. (A box full of technology and a bag full of books went today.) And, of course, I didn’t have gout. And it wasn’t at this time of the year.

Anyway, the day passed in a blur of activity to the extent that I didn’t take any photographs. Well, except for my BeReal, which was the stripped trunk of the tree.

In the afternoon, Mirinda ticked off another favourite walking place by taking the girls to Farnham Heath.
