Portsmouth dockyard

Late start (11:30) to Portsmouth.

Spent an excellent afternoon at the Historic Dockyard. Hard to say how impressed the kids were but Peter really enjoyed it. We went through HMS Victory, the ship that Nelson was killed on (21 October 1805), the Mary Rose, Henry VIII’s ship and The Warrior, the first iron hulled warship in the UK. Also, quite thoroughly did the museums, though I might have taken longer had I been on my own.

Got home and made shepherd’s pie which was well received by all.

Watched What Lies Beneath because Mirinda didn’t want to watch it alone.
