Washer death

The washing machine died today. It started, lasted about three minutes then stopped. It then started for about ten seconds…then stopped again. It continued this sort of behaviour for over an hour and then just gave up the ghost, all lights flashing and making clicking noises. When I opened the door, the washing was wet in places but otherwise unchanged.

I had a bit of a play with it but it wasn’t going to do anything else so I went online and bought a new one. Funnily enough I was talking to Nicktor about people who buy things just because they’re on sale the other day. We agreed that it’s not a problem if you actually need something.

So, it was with great joy and coincidence that I found a washing machine on special, priced £200 less than it normally sells for.

Meanwhile, the cold I picked up continues to irritate my nose. Apart from the washing machine, I took it easy most of the day. I’ll hopefully be better tomorrow.
