Mirinda wondered which of the new seats the puppies would prefer. Well, I’m not sure about when she’s here but when she’s not, they prefer her recliner.
Something else Mirinda wondered was why I don’t include as many photos in the blog as I used to. Well, the answer is a small but effective problem I’ve been having with the software…or the server. For reasons beyond my ken, the software is unable to create folders and plonk files into them. It’s something that happened last year.
The work-around for including photographs is annoyingly complicated and, to be frightfully honest, sometimes I just can’t be bothered.
Of course, I’ve been meaning to fix it for yonks but just haven’t. Mirinda said I should fix it. I told her I’d give it a shot tomorrow.
In the meantime I had a possible dinner guest tonight and had promised a special Chez Gaz casserole so I was chained to the kitchen for a bit. Because, you see, tonight was to be a Nicktor Evening. Sadly, there was no sleepover but even so, I was looking forward to seeing him after so long. In fact, I haven’t seen him since last year.
And, I’m happy to announce that he DID come over and we watched a film that, while it had a few convenient, yet implausible plot lines, was actually pretty good. It was a British film I’d never heard of called Well Laid Plans. It was beautifully acted and nicely filmed. The violence and the baddies were suitably extreme and the goodies were suitably flawed but wonderful by the end. Interestingly, neither of us particularly liked the ending, preferring to think he just went to sleep rather than died. Still, we both enjoyed it…something quite rare for us.
Sadly I can’t say the same for my casserole. While Nicktor ate it all and didn’t complain about the vegetables, he nary said a word about it so I assume he wasn’t that fussed.
I enjoyed it…though that’s not quite the same thing.
That good thought he was never coming back he might just have been hungrey.
