Chelsea 1 – 1 West Ham

Storm and tempest!

Off to work. Race to Farnham only to find I’m half an hour early because of engineering work. Bastards! Took forever to get to Woking (via Guildford) but finally did (9:30). Worked till 5pm.

Mirinda picked me up at Woking so I was saved the poxy trip home.

Had last night’s lovely dinner for dinner tonight.

When Claire rang tonight, Bob told Mirinda that a guy in the Antarctic had his eyes frozen at -40°. Thanks Bob. Also, Susanne at work (CQQ) saying horrible things about -35°. I wish I’d kept my mouth shut.

Chelsea drew with West Ham 1-1 in FA Cup 4th round. They should have won. They are useless.

Read something interesting by Tim Cahill today. He’s talking about why people want to go to places where it’s dangerous.

Some people have shivered through entire winters in Antarctica or sailed through menacing seas for the same reasons. The urge, I think now, has something to do with the desire to see just how truly rotten life can be.
