Missed call

Yesterday I missed a phone call from mum (because it was raining, I was in the garden and my phone was inside) so we arranged for her to ring today. She’s staying with Uncle Les and Julie (she was there for Beth’s 21st) and they get very cheap international rates.

Mum was calling to make up for a lack of Skype the last few weeks. So we had a jolly good natter.

The weather hasn’t improved after yesterday’s rain. In fact it was pretty much the same. Wet most of the day with sunny breaks. It was during one of the breaks that we headed up to the park for an attempted walk.

In the park we met Susie, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She was a little younger than Freya and the two of them hit it off. Emma, of course, ignored both Susie and her owner while I threw the ball for her.

I walked with Susie and her owner for a bit and we talked about dogs. Naturally enough. Susie’s owner said she’d been rather keen to get a Cava-poo because of the non-moulting thing. I didn’t find out why she didn’t.

Because of the weather (and because I’m busy the rest of the week) today was house work day.

Throw the ball! Throw the ball! [Repeat ad nauseam]

Note Emma’s muddy feet and face.
