I had to wait for two deliveries today. Mirinda’s new iPhone4 arrived while I was talking to mum and dad; her netbook took a little longer.
When I ordered the netbook, the probable delivery date was tomorrow but when I tracked the package, lo and behold! it was loaded onto a van for delivery this morning. I figured I’d wait in, knowing only too well that I’d miss it if I went out.
I pottered round the house, doing this and that, washing and the usual pottering type things. I had a foodless lunch and watched the final ever episode of The Sopranos (what a genius show and such a great ending). I pottered some more.
At 4pm, a scruffy white van pulled up outside. I don’t know what the driver was doing but he took an age to do it. Eventually he collected a box and approached the house. It was the netbook.
With no time to play, I was off to Waitrose (I needed whisky for tonight as it’s my turn and Nicktor will be here soon) and then back home. I synch’d Mirinda’s new phone with her new netbook and everything is running smoothly and as they should.
But, really, what a wasted day.
No day is really wasted Gary, the things you did would not have been done had you gone out.
Have a good Nicktor night, love mum
I have my new netbook and my new i phone with me. I haven’t used them much yet but G loaded 157 photos on my i phone and I look at those every day.
