Four new things

Unlike the place we stayed in at Tyresö, this house doesn’t have a printer. Up until now, this hasn’t been a problem but then, yesterday, I had to organise payment for something for which I had to provide printed proof. This was very annoying, but it couldn’t be helped.

At first I was going to head for the closest Clas Ohlsen but, then, this morning, I decided to try the library in Ekerö Centrum, instead. And it was super simple and very pleasant. I printed off 23 pieces of paper, paid and left. All good.

But it wasn’t the only thing we discovered today. There was the marina down by the car ferry.

Mirinda was busy looking for the perfect craft for her to start her boating life. Emma wasn’t so sure. We did discover a whole load of boats belonging to an amazing company that hires them out like the electric scooters you see in cities these days. The company is called Skipperi and operates in various Scandinavian countries. Such a brilliant idea.

Another brilliant idea is the new path to the Träkvista bus stop.

Since the works began that saw the demise of the Coop, the underpass has been closed off. This has meant a lot more foot traffic heading across to the pedestrian crossing. The bit of ground is a small hill and a rut has been forming. The other day a small crane, towing a small trailer, was dropping hard core along it. The crane operator also had one of those thumping machines that settles the hard core. After a day’s work, this was the result.

It makes for a far smoother trip with my shopping trolley.

But that wasn’t it for new things today. We also discovered a marvellous bakery.

Tegnérs Bageri only opened on Ekero in 2022 so it still feels new and fresh. The food is lovely, the coffee a delight (they even have hazelnut syrup) and, best of all, dogs are very welcome. We may just visit again before we leave.

It was certainly a day of new things.
