The process defaults to fear

I was discussing the stupidity of slavishly following a process with Mirinda this afternoon. This morning I heard a couple of business types in Starbucks discussing a work issue and one of them said “…the process defaults to fear…” which, apart from being slightly coincidental, was wonderfully surreal enough to make an excellent Post Title…possibly my favourite.

Not that my day was encumbered by anything remotely resembling a process. There was a bit of routine, I suppose. Though I went to the gym this morning rather than yesterday I did take the dogs to the park after lunch, which is pretty normal.

“What?”

But that was about it. As well as general cleaning, washing and tidying, I finished the Wooden Wine Case Electrical Hiding Cupboard in the library.

Doesn’t look like much but these boxes hide a mile of cables.

Eventually, Mirinda arrived home – she’d been at some work function – and she settled down into the hygge she’d been missing all week, embraced as she was in a variety of Christmas lights and puppy love.
