We were very fortunate in our timings today. At one point we were sat at Emil’s Backe when the rain poured down, drowning out any and all conversation. Luckily, we were under shelter and had already collected our lunch. It was a very different scene to the one we experienced yesterday.
The weather was a bit iffy all morning. Drizzly rain with the temperature having dropped again. A poor welcome for our first guest of the year.
Lisa arrived at about 10:30 and there followed a lot of chat over coffee before we headed off for lunch, courtesy of Chez Charlotte. While a little bit less than perfect, weatherwise, I’m glad we went. Though, Lisa was surprised that we also went yesterday. Of course, that was merely a coincidence. Though she may have understood why after the croque monsieur Dijonaise.
Back at the house, having dropped me off, Mirinda and Lisa went for a walk along the Baltic and into Trosa for a glass of rosé while I prepped for dinner. I’d planned to make Joey Layer Cake so the aubergines and yoghurt needed doing in order to get cold.
Their walk was during the driest and occasionally sunny part of the day and, I assume, full of conversation given that seemed to be the order of the day. I particularly enjoyed the conversation regarding Lisa wearing daughter Anna’s clothes. She said they were hand-me-downs. I suggested that they were really hand-me-ups.
There was lots of chatting about family, of course, and the problems with the world at large and how we’d fix them.
Actually, I think we all went to bed, essentially, chatted out, sleep recharging our chat batteries for tomorrow.
