I spent a lot of today taking photos of the house. Whether we rent the house out or AirBnB it, we’ll need photos of all the rooms. Given our house sitters did such an amazing clean-up job, Mirinda thought I should take the photos straight away. Even so, I had to move things out of shot quite often.
And, naturally, I took a few ‘artistic’ shots as learned by my experience of looking at photos on Hemnet. There is almost always a photo of a tap or a bowl of fruit. Naturally, my bowl of fruit is a little different to the traditional.
By the way, the small, round squash in the bowl above, was delicious, baked and accompanying the Persian roast chicken I cooked tonight. As was the Swede, chopped up and baked with thyme, salt, pepper and olive oil.
Apart from taking photos and cooking roast chicken, the rest of the gloriously sunny day was spent doing laundry and hanging it on the line. Now, that’s something I’ve missed. I don’t mind using clothes driers but, seriously, nothing really beats washing straight from the line.
In the meanwhilst, Mirinda took the girls to Puttenham. She was originally heading for Hankley, but the sun was a bit unrelenting and there’s a noticeable lack of trees across the ridge. Puttenham was a much better idea.
