After a week off for Easter, Mirinda was back at Swedish classes today. She parked at Tappström and caught the buses in. After class, she went to the opera house to see the ballet Juliet and Romeo, which she enjoyed before catching a ferry back.
In the meanwhilst, I had a normal, easy day with the girls. It was laundry, vac’ing, and generally lazing around, before taking the girls for a long walk.
We started off by walking down the street towards Älvnäs, until it turned into a footpath, then followed that as far as the gravel pit. It was here that I spotted a green diamond on a tree. The green diamond path runs all around and through the forest. I think it ends at Munsö, quite a long walk away.
We decided to take the green diamond path back rather than retracing our steps. Besides, the day was so beautiful, it seemed a waste to just follow a tarmac path. And, of course, by heading into the forest, the girls got some time off lead.
The green diamonds, at first, led us up quite a steep climb but soon levelled off at, what appeared to be, an old quarry. After a slightly less steep climb on the other side, the path narrowed as it skirted the edge of the forest up the side of a hill.
Eventually, we wound up back on our street, then home. It was a lovely long walk, during which I actually broke into a sweat.
