Max has been letting us know that he has a slow leak in one of his tyres. It’s been going on for a while. I don’t know how that works with a tubeless tyre but there you go. Anyway, having grown a bit tired with having to pump it up every few days, I decided to go with Click Mechanics again and get a new one.
Mirinda wanted the same guy we had last time (she really liked him) but, because he came to fix the brake pads, he doesn’t do tyre replacement. They seem to be specialists.
So, this morning, I booked on the site. Then, tonight, Darnell turned up and changed the tyre in ten minutes. Unbelievably good service. And, again, another nice guy.
Seriously, if you need anything done to your car, if they can do it on your driveway, they will. And, according to Darnell, it’s a 24 hour service. Click Mechanic is now our go to website for anything car related. Actually, they will also check out a car you’re thinking of buying and give it a good going over.
We also had an electrician come round to give us a quote on replacing a few things and fixing a few others. I had the quote this evening and accepted it. All very efficient. And, I also managed to get rid of a load of travel guides on Freecycle that we no longer want. It’s amazing how much better Freecycle works here than it does in Oz.
Anyway, things are really starting to move along apace. A bit like the weather.
While first thing this morning, it was all pretty foul, by the time I’d shopped and started for home, the sun came out and the sky went blue. As it remained for the rest of the day.
While I was in Waitrose, Mirinda asked me to check out their offering of Christmas gingerbreads. I sent her this photo.
I was instructed to buy almost all of them for her day at work on Friday.
Nothing like a whole bunch of santas – or rather tomtes! They look just like you.
