Jet washing the greens

I had an unexpected trip to the ICA today. There was a serious situation rapidly approaching the house with a shortage of toilet paper. It had to be rectified; it couldn’t wait for the regular Wednesday shop. I even tried the stuga but, clearly, I’d already raided it on an earlier occasion. So, trolley in hand, I set off first thing.

I chose to wear a beanie, given it was -2° and even colder when the wind blew. This was a mistake. The sun was bright on the horizon and straight ahead of me. I could have done with a peak.

The eye dazzling sun did enhance a chap jet washing the Mini Golf in preparation for the hordes of tourists expected soon. I tried to take a photo but it didn’t work. Sadly. It looked excellent in real life.

Shopping was the usual, though I did see a very tall man (he was a giant) with the biggest shoes I’ve ever seen. He was also wearing a hoodie with a big set of headphones over the top of the hood. Is it ‘cool’ to listen to muffled music these days? I can’t be expected to keep up with the latest trends.

Back at home, happy in our new over supply of toilet paper, we settled down to some admin before lunch.

I suggested that Mirinda may like to join us on our daily trek around Mount Trosa. She seemed a whole lot better and the day was gorgeous. She nodded and said she’d love to.

And I think the fresh air and blue sky had an excellent effect. Mind you, the dogs reacted very differently when it was two of us. When it’s just me with them, they tend to forge the way ahead, sometimes choosing the path, other times going the completely wrong way.

In fact, I was very disappointed with Emma, who generally heads up the path I’m gradually creating from the back gate. Today, she was all about hanging back and walking with us.

Still, everything looked lovely and the temperature climbed to a general no fleece required warmth.

Mirinda said it was perfect and made her feel almost 100%.
