Lamarck

For some reason this statue proclaims Lamarck as the father of evolution. Without getting too boring, his theory stated that generations of creatures (man included) could evolve from changes made during the lifetime of a parent. For instance, if a person (or dog, or fish, or anything) lost a limb in life, that limb would be missing in any offspring. OK, that's extreme but it gets the point across. Obviously he was a crazy man and Darwin eventually proved him so.
