Ship wrecked and comatose

The weather was lovely today. There was never a threat of rain, it wasn’t cold and the sun shone all day. It was a pity really because it was housework day rather than slave in the garden day. As opposed to the rest of the week when I was my most active when dodging sudden rainfall. It was so bad that I actually forgot my gardening gloves, leaving them in the garden to soak up more water than should be possible.

However, at least I was able to go into Farnham first thing, something I’ve not been able to do this week. And, of course, the poodles thoroughly enjoyed their post-lunchtime walk up the park where we met lots of dogs, including a beautiful black standard poodle. Actually, Carmen was so pleased she couldn’t resist an FSI. She didn’t enjoy the bath afterwards quite so much.

“Have those pesky poodles gone yet?”

So, most of the day was spent cleaning up after the electrician. While he was generally very tidy and careful, I still managed to find lots of little bits of offcut wire and sprinkles of ceiling dust in the most unlikely of places.

But then, everything paled into insignificance because tonight was the premier of Red Dwarf X! The day I’ve been waiting for, for so long. And was it funny? Was it brilliant? Was it smeg! Genius. Laughed myself into another space time. And I sang the theme song as loud as I liked and no neighbour came and complained.
