Inevitable failure

I find it very difficult to believe that the people of Clacton voted Farage back in as their local member. Okay, so only 44.37% of the eligible people voted but he still took over 60% of those votes. The man is never there. How can the voters claim he is representing them? Unless, of course, they feel happy with an MP who is never in the constituency and regularly gallivants across to the US for fireside chats with his mate. An MP who believes Parliament is not a place he needs to visit very often.

Stupid, stupid people.

Mind you, the people of Clacton do not own the rights to stupidity. Today, at the summit of Mount Trosa, we found this:

Fortunately, the arsonist was too stupid to realise that fresh green tree will not burn from such a piddling little fire but, still, lighting a fire so close to tinder dry grass is not the brightest idea when the days have been hot and the rain absent.

I hope it was kids with little to do but mischief because a fully grown adult should seriously be a little more intelligent.

The ashes were cold, so I assumed the fire was lit last night. Maybe it was some sort of beacon, warning people that there was a moron abroad.

Stupid, stupid people.

Apart from taking the girls to the top of the almost renamed Fire Mountain, I spent a goodly amount of my day unsuccessfully clearing a blockage in the kitchen drainage system. We are going to have to call Harald in again. Last time he came and struggled to clear it so I’m hoping this time will be easier given he won’t have to experiment with solutions.

I am currently using a bucket to wash up in given the sink takes at good hour to drain away.

Personally, I think the whole kitchen plumbing needs replacing in order to make it easier for a homeowner to clear himself. Like I had to do that time in Farnham when the cauli blocked the S bend.

While I was struggling with the inevitable failure, Mirinda accompanied Jonas and Erik to try and drain a lake of crayfish. Tomorrow is Nicoline’s Crayfish Party so they set off to catch as many as possible. Mirinda had a wonderful time, declaring how much she loved being on a boat, in the water.

In the meanwhilst, back at the summit of Mount Trosa, I see someone has a wonky level. Well, I assume this is supposed to be level.

Maybe it was the same idiot who lit the fire.

Oh, and Yayoi Kusama died today in Tokyo. She had the exhibition on at the Luwig Museum in Cologne when I was there in May. It was very popular. The one with all the dots. She was 97.
