Today it was Mirinda’s turn to go to Liljeholmen, get her photograph and fingerprints taken and hand in her residency card. The whole procedure took about three minutes, and she was out on the street, heading back home very quickly afterwards. Mind you, the journey took a lot longer with two hours on buses and waiting time between.
Coincidentally, my new residency card arrived in the post today. I was worried it wouldn’t turn up before I leave for France. Silly me. The Migration Agency has never let me down yet.
To further practice before my Toulouse cooking week, I decided to make Geraldine’s roasted tomato soup for Mirinda for her lunch. Unbeknownst to me, she had a rather unappetising croque monsieur which sounded disgusting.
It wasn’t a waste as she can have the soup for lunch tomorrow but, even so, she regretted eating the ghastly sandwich, but felt she had to because she’d chatted with the server and they’d established a micro relationship and she felt bad leaving it uneaten.
My morning was spent shopping and chatting to various ICA staff members. Sara was on the till this morning which is always a pleasure.
On the way home, I took a photo of the pollarded trees in the cemetery. I made it black and white. I think it worked a lot better than yesterday’s effort.

I particularly like the way the trees behind look strange.
