A while ago, I wrote about a lot of earth dumped across the path leading up to the summit of Mount Trosa which then, mysteriously disappeared. Then, of course, it then snowed, covering up any evidence and I subsequently forgot all about it. Well, today I discovered where it went.

You can see it under the big snow grader machine thing. The dirt was to make a flat parking space beside the shed. We spotted this during our walk today. Freya took no notice. She was more interested in sniffing stuff.
Speaking of little Freya, she continues to slowly improve. Her legs are still a bit wobbly when she first wakes up and her eating is a bit haphazard at best. In fact, she prefers to eat before we all go to bed each night. Emma, on the other hand, eats at the normal times of midday and18:00. It’s a bit annoying though tonight, at least, I could watch the snooker while Mirinda hand fed Freya and I held on to Emma.
I have to hold onto Emma because Freya is easily distracted and Emma tries to steal her food.
Anyway, as I said, she does seem to be improving. I think the new medicine I’m giving her every morning is helping. Of course, if it is arthritis as Mirinda believes, I’ll be dosing her up every morning for the rest of her life.
At least she enjoyed our short walk to the ski lift and back. I think she particularly liked it today because Emma was off with Mirinda, bird watching down at the Baltic. They excitedly watched some sort of falcon while we dawdled with very little excitement.
Well, apart from the dirt distribution, that is.
The rest of my day was, basically, spent cooking. I had given Mirinda carte blanche given it was her birthday weekend. This, obviously, included Sunday night dinner.
She chose a Persian chicken dish with almonds and honey accompanied by a fig tart and preceded by scallops in hazelnut butter. Then, unsurprisingly, simnel cake for dessert.
There was a lot of clearing up to do.
I didn’t take photos of the food but here’s the full photo of the ski slope.

Not only has all the snow (both real and artifical) gone but the mud has also dried up following the big Easter storm.
And the day was beautiful.
