While KSP and Jonas are in Canada, we are among a small group of people going over to their house to feed the cats and chickens. Today there were two eggs to collect and one of the cats met us at the door. This provoked a bit of a stand-off as I shushed the girls away while the cat could run off and hide.
I was also in charge of taking photos of the new car port being built by Stefan. I particularly liked his tractor.

Actually, our whole day was pretty relaxed.
While at the ICA I spotted tonight’s scheduled movie at the Trosa Bio. It was called Jane Austen Wrecked my Life. Obviously, I told Mirinda and suggested we go and see it. Of course, I played the beginning of the trailer first, to determine that it was in English before letting her know.
I then suggested an 11am brunch at Tre Små Rum and lamb shanks for a 6pm linner. When it was discovered that Fi was out with the girls from work, meaning there’d be no video call between them, the day shaped up empty enough for us to fill it with chill. All was good.
Well, apart from the film that is.
I don’t mean the film wasn’t good. I enjoyed it, in a strange sort of way. The thing is, it was in French with Swedish subtitles. My French is ever so slightly better than my Swedish and my Swedish is appalling. This made it difficult to understand the finer points of the movie. There were some bits in English (the bit in the trailer, for instance) but, basically, it was mostly in French.
Actually, when Agathe (the protagonist) goes to the UK, I figured it would switch to English for large swathes of the story. Conveniently, however, the characters all had French as a second language and used it most of the time.
Still, it was visually enjoyable and Mirinda was delighted because she understood most of the Swedish subtitles.
Later I read the synopsis on Wikipedia, which helped a lot in posthumously understanding the finer points.
Anyway, while the film wasn’t all I expected, my saffron lamb shanks were excellent.

It was good enough to drink the juice. And the dogs enjoyed the bones.
A close to perfect Sunday.
