Minor correction

The other day, I said I had gout. Well, I was wrong. What I seem to have is something else that affects feet. Mirinda has said she should have had something about feet inserted into the wedding vows. The hair thing was important but now, in hindsight, so are the feet…apparently.

What I think I have is plantar fasciitis. This comes about due to a stretching of the thick band of tissue on the bottom of the foot. It is extremely painful first thing in the morning and absolutely hates going downstairs.

There are many reasons why it can occur but one is not wearing good shoes with an arch support. Today I bought some orthotic shoe inserts which are supposed to help. I’m also taking ibuprofen. I’m hoping it will stop hurting very, very soon.

As for the mysterious pain for which I visited the doctor last week…it’s gone. Perhaps it moved to my foot. I don’t know. I’m not a doctor. I am rapidly becoming a foot hater! I wish they’d quickly invent good, affordable bionic feet.

Here’s a little bit of floral sunshine to finish off this medical post.

Our only daffodil...at the moment

When you were a small boy we used to get your feet measured by Clarke’s shoes and have a leather inset made for you which of course you don’t remember. So what every you have its since you have got older. love mum

I also hate going downstairs – but I don’t have plantar fasciitis!
