Beware! The trees are watching

I was walking into Trosa this morning, walking down Church Alley when a man turned the corner, heading towards me. He was holding a microphone and talking. Behind him was a sizeable group of what appeared to be all women. Each one had some sort of listening device attached to one ear. As they passed me, there were lots of happy “Hej“s thrown my way. There was also a fair bit of giggling.

As I reached the end of the alley, I turned into Västra Långgatan, only to find the rest of the group scattered in front of me. My instant reaction was a surprised “Oi, oi, oi!” Their response was to burst out laughing.

I assume it was some sort of tour group, out for an explore. Though it’s an unusual sight. For me, anyway. It reminded me of one of those cruise ship tour groups you often see on Gamla Stan, filling the side streets and generally wandering around looking impressed but lost.

I was only saying to Mirinda, the other day, that the number of tourists in town was dwindling as the holiday season winds down. But not today. As well as the massive tour group, there were a number of visitors wandering around the centrum, enjoying both the sunshine and shops.

There was a lot of sunshine around today. And heat. I think I lost my body weight in sweat as I trudged from System to ICA then home.

Actually, the sun was so strong that even the trees were wearing sunglasses.

The rest of my day was spent mostly in finishing up the Buster Room, with other scattered jobs mingled in. A satisfying if sweaty day.
