Mirinda went for a walk this morning before I left for my usual Wednesday visit to the Systembolaget. She passed me on her way back. She stopped and wound down the car window. “It’s very hot already. Take it easy,” she said. “Taking it easy is the only way I go,” I replied as I wheeled my trolley away, considering other things I could put on a t-shirt.
Funnily enough, the dogs wagged at me from the back seat then, once they arrived home shortly afterwards, Emma went searching for me. We decided that dogs have a very different concept regarding time and space.
Trosa was crowded again. Even the System was packed. It was like a Red Day Eve with everyone rushing to get the booze in.
Causing a bit of confusion, three police officers were pulling cars over as they entered the Coop car park and checking something with each driver. I don’t know what. Maybe they were looking for the aggressive man from last week’s fracas.
This wasn’t the only odd thing I saw on my travels this morning.
As I trundled along towards the ICA, a man, deeply tanned and about 60 years old, came speeding towards me on rollerblades. It felt like I’d suddenly been transported to San Francisco. He had a bike horn around his neck to alert slow pedestrians.
Then, as I was walking through the ICA car park, I noticed a woman having a bit of a stand-off situation with her staffie who was refusing to get out of the car. The dog refused to look at her as she remonstrated with it. Eventually, she gave up and walked off towards the shop, leaving the back of the car open and all the windows down. I guess no one was going to steal anything while the dog was on guard.
This wasn’t the only dog related incident today.
After dinner (old country zrazy), Mirinda, Sophie and the girls went for a walk to Tureholms slott. All was good until Freya managed to get stung by a bee. She wasn’t very happy about that. She was a bit wobbly on her back legs and her tail refused to wag. Mirinda cooled down her back legs in a sink and we kept an eye on her.

Hopefully, she’ll feel more like her old self tomorrow.
