It was almost like summer had abruptly and quickly ended this morning. Dripping rain and a wet deck greeted me as I let the girls out for their morning ablutions. But, I’m happy to say, it didn’t last. By the afternoon, the sun had returned and we managed to have dinner on the deck.
And, at the risk of being boring, tonight, Chez Gaz was serving spiced yoghurt salmon with kale and mushroom sauté.

There’s something a bit narcissistic about photographing my own food, I daresay, but I thought it deserved preserving. Besides, I haven’t made it for the longest time. I don’t know why because it’s delicious, easy and very quick to prepare.
And the girls loved it too because I fried up the leftover fish skin for them afterwards – obviously without the spiced yoghurt. They love the fish skin but not so keen on the yoghurt.
As well as dinner, the day was mostly spent preparing the house and stuga for our house sitters who are arriving tomorrow. It’s always like this. A bit of a deep clean to show that we try and be something beyond normal.
Oh, and Mirinda had an online Swedish conversation class where she talked about spiders.
As the day progressed, so did the humidity. By the time it reached Reading Hour, everyone was pretty zonked by the heat. Even Emma stopped chasing her ball. For a bit.

She was clearly having lovely dreams as her tail is wagging in this photo.
Hopefully, I’ll have something more interesting to write about tomorrow.
