Just a little prick

Last weekend, KSP and Jonas gave us half a dozen eggs fresh from their chickens. They are organic, free-range, very natural eggs. In order to give them a jolly good test run, I made my (not really) famous bacon and egg muffins for lunch. And, can I just say, the eggs were amazing.

Super lush.

That was after walking into Trosa and shopping at my favourite shop.

Sadly, after yesterday’s delightful weather, today saw a return to the grey, miserable slightly damp of recent days. The temperature dropped to a point where I was forced back into, wearing jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt. It was very annoying.

Though, not quite as annoying as finding out the appointment I made for the optician was actually the wrong sort. It was for a driver’s test. Like I drive! In fact, I broke my glasses the other day and thought I’d booked in for a full test and new glasses. Now I have to wait for another two weeks, while balancing my glasses on the end of my nose.

Mind you, it wasn’t a complete waste of time going back into town. Mirinda and I had booked in for our first ever tick vaccine.

There is a mobile bus that appears around this time in Trosa and we figured we should get protected from the evil little bastard ticks. Mirinda, in particular, who seems to attract them.

When it was my turn on the needling chair, I was expecting to hear “It’s just a little prick,” like in the UK but, no, there were no Carry On innuendos today. It was arm out, needle in, small bandaid over. And that was it. I guess there are quite a few people to get through.

I then felt a bit lethargic for the rest of the day and my arm felt like I’d been punched a few times by someone bigger and younger than me. We have to have three more shots before we’re set up for the next three years. I’m hoping the lethargy was because it was the first one.

Back at home, we started rehanging things on the newly painted walls.

It felt more like home, cooking lamb and pistachio rissoles for dinner under my reattached neon sign.

    The kitchen looks great!
I’ll pop over later and join you for those rissoles!
    Yum! 😋 ( I wish!)
