Back in May 2017, I posted a photo of me wearing my new yukata, which I bought in Kyoto during our anniversary trip to Japan. I’ve worn it almost to pieces. It has frayed and ripped and, basically, is a danger to walk around in. These days I am in fear of catching it on any protruding door handles, hooks or chairs. Also, the belt has shredded.
So, I finally decided it was time for an upgrade. As much as I’d have loved to return to the same shop in Kyoto, I had to make do with a shop in Stockholm that sells Japanese clothing. It’s called Najs of Sweden and is actually a warehouse that imports then sells all things Japanese.
It arrived yesterday and Mirinda reckons it looks very handsome.

Apart from my fledgling modelling career, I was kept pretty busy nursing the patient today. There were cups of tea, coffee, bowls of soup, scrambled eggs and being a sounding board for investment decisions ahead of Donald Trump’s impending tariff announcement tomorrow.
Oddly enough, Nicoline and I didn’t discuss the Trumpian Nightmare while eating French cheese tonight. She had invited both of us to indulge but, obviously, Mirinda was too sick. Nicoline, very kindly, offered me a lift there and back as well as four delightful cheeses and some scrummy crackers.
And, of course, there was red wine.
We had a lovely natter, including me telling her all about livarot, the cheese I am never allowed to bring into any house. Obviously we discussed things pother than cheese as well. It made for a splendid end of the day. For me, anyway.
Oh, and, after lunch, I took the girls for a walk.
I can’t remember the last time I took them for a walk around the mountain. It would have been before Christmas. I’ve missed it. Sadly, I was unable to head into the woods proper because I couldn’t find my boots but it was still beautiful keeping to the path.

As you can see, the weather was delightful. It was so warm, I even switched to shorts when we returned home. Mirinda said I was an idiot.
Love the yukata! And your weather looks gorgeous! ☀️
We’ve had cyclones and flooding! Give the special patient
a hug from me. 🤕
