Ghosts of Norwegian origin

Most of Content Services went out for Pippa’s farewell last night, so it was a very slow day for all but me. Nicole was especially completely useless. She is getting very pally with the Oneline people, which is excellent.

I’ve been thinking of doing some sort of volunteer work over a few lunchtimes, which would be good. And fun. Possibly.

We went to Guildford tonight to see English Touring Theatre’s production of Ibsen’s Ghosts. It was excellent. Well directed (Stephen Unwin), acted (Pastor Manders – William Chubb, Jakob Engstrand – Michael Cronin, Osvald Alving – Daniel Evans, Mrs Alving – Diana Quick, and Regine – Jody Watson) designed (Neil Warmington), the lot. And very well written (trans – Stephen Mulrine). We both realised how much the play was enhanced by our trip to Norway and visiting Ibsen’s place.
