Why, suddenly, is everyone saying ‘vibe’? It’s getting very annoying. I thought it was an abbreviation of vibrator but, apparently, not. It seems to mean ‘feeling’ or ‘mood’. If you ask me, it’s lazy and inherently overused. So, stop it. It’s not cool or hip. It’s annoying. I can only hope that it stops soon. Like a linguistic fidget spinner.
Not that there was a lot of linguistic spinning at home today. We were too busy. We are in the process of getting the house ready for the housesitters who arrive tomorrow night. Obviously, they’ll spend their first night in the stuga but, from Saturday onwards, they’ll be in the main house.
It will be their first time in Sweden so I hope the weather brightens up a bit. For the last week or so, it’s felt like Britain in February – grey, gloomy and threatening to rain at every turn.
As well as organising the house, Mirinda spent a lot of today booking our trains to Portugal. There were a few anxious moments when it seemed the trains were either full or had disappeared, but, eventually, things were falling into place and I added the details to our travel schedule.
She also went into Trosa to get her hair done at a new (for her) hairdresser who specialises in natural products. Mirinda often has problems with hairdressers so I was a bit concerned. It turned out there were no problems. All was good.
In the meanwhilst, I hung a few pictures (since locating my hammer which had been missing for a while) and a new roller blind in the stuga as well as general cleaning. Life doesn’t get much more exciting.
I was in need of a bit of a rest late on so Reading Hour was very welcome.

I have a feeling, there’ll be quite a few Reading Hours on the trains to Portugal.
Oh dear, did you find the hammer under
the bed in the stuga? 🔨
I may have left it there with the blind
that was awkward to negotiate! 😜
Hope it didn’t upset your vibe! 🤣
