Eating out

A pretty normal day. Nicole was back and I advanced three more levels in Smuggler’s Run 2. Did a bit of testing. Plenty of nothing, really.

Tonight we went out for dinner. We went to the Grapevine in Odiham. It’s over the road from Next Door at the George. Lovely food and it was Jazz Night. Ian McGillvray played.

I had roast salmon in seaweed, sake and oyster broth with sweet potato mash followed by espresso coffee crème brûlée. Mirinda had duck followed by fig and apricot pudding. All very scrummy. Had a Chilean cab sav with it.

The bill came to £60 all up, which is a bit scary if you think of it as $180!

We drove home via the cottage. It was delightfully quiet, late on a Thursday night.

At home, we watched an episode of Vanity Fair. Love that Becky Sharp!
