We were up early for puppy training this morning. They were ‘okay’ this week though Carmen was still playing up. I reckon she’s not a scholar and, having shown she understands something feels she’s done enough. Day’z, on the other hand, takes yonks to learn but once it’s there, she can’t not do it.
We went to Haslemere after for coffee and drove back via the farmer’s market so I could buy food for tomorrow. I bought quiche ingredients and a rabbit.
Mirinda went for her hairdresser appointment but was too late. She hired Chicago instead.
We took the puppies for a lovely walk to the hanger. Lots of traffic around on the lane, which was annoying.
Chicago was brilliant. Good performances all round and a wonderful cinematic vision. Mirinda spotted a lot of Fosse stuff and it turns out that he directed and choreographed the original Broadway production, and the film borrows heavily from it. It’s also dedicated to Fosse and Gwen Verdon and some other dude I don’t know.
Renée Zellweger looked terrible, though. Sort of starving human chic.
We were naughty and had Chinese takeaway. Yum.
