Minor incidence of freedom

It was almost another day in captivity with my foot slowly healing. Not that there’s anything wrong with the heel, but you know what I mean. And the pun was possibly not necessary. Mind you, given the lack of interesting things happening at the moment, even a bad pun is worth noting.

Then it happened.

Mirinda drove me to ICA, so I could do the shopping.

And, for the first time in a long time, Mirinda actually came shopping with me. I did lose her a few times in the aisles and, naturally, she disappeared when it was time to unpack the trolley onto the conveyor belt, but, still, it made for a lovely change.

ICA was very crowded, with, what I assume were, a lot of after work shoppers but, given my long period of incarceration, I didn’t really care that much.

Actually, I had sneaked out earlier in the day while Mirinda was walking the dogs. I managed to replace an outside bulb that died a while ago and, then, I wandered up to the letterbox after the postie had been. But that was it.

It did give me a chance to see how beautiful everything looked with a light dusting of snow, some blue sky and the dying light of the day.

Of course, that could be because I’m going a bit stir-crazy.
