Grumpy old Australian

The weather in Trosa appears to always be perfect. At least that’s our experience. For the last week, while it’s been chilly sometimes, the sky has been bright blue and the sun has shone on everything. And the house we’re staying in takes full advantage of it given the amount of windows.

Today was so nice that I went into town twice. Once to the ICA for the normal Monday shop and then, after lunch, we walked to the centrum to get Mirinda a notebook.

Actually, she sent me a message while I was shopping, requesting a notebook. When I looked at the notebooks on offer I thought they were a bit drab. Previous notebook requests have been for ‘pretty’ ones and the ICA ones did not qualify. I suggested we take a walk to the book shop in the centrum for better looking ones.

The suggestion was happily taken up.

We took the girls with us, down the forest path and into town via the church. This will be the way I will head into the centrum when we are living in the Red House.

This is a lit path, so I can walk to the shops all year round, regardless of the sun. Perfect.

I sat outside the bookshop on a specially positioned old man bench and waited for Mirinda, enjoying the scene around me. It was only ruined momentarily by an old, grizzled man on a Harley Davidson making too much noise. Mirinda told me to stop complaining because it’s a small town and, if we intend to be regulars, I’ll become known as the grumpy old Australian who complains about everything.

All I can say is that it’s a good job this photo doesn’t have sound.
