The grit remover may have been a bit too eager with his tractor the other day. This morning, we woke to a white garden as it was gradually, once more, covered in snow. The report was for light snow, but it fell with great regularity all day.
And with the snow came a sudden drop in temperature. From the heady heights of double figures last week, we were once more plunged down to the negatives again.
And it was the day that Amanda took herself into Stockholm to visit the Vasa and Viking Museums. Just after she left the house, the snow started falling heavier and the wind seemed to be heading into blizzard conditions.
The same sort of thing awaited me and the girls when I took them for a walk after lunch. We started to climb into the woods but were beaten back by the frozen rain which turned into snow. In fact, the weather was so disagreeable that even Emma wanted to return home.
Mirinda, of course, was at Swedish class. It was her last one for this round. Next week, she begins set two. After class, they all went for a drink.
While Amanda loved the museums and Mirinda enjoyed hearing all about Turkish politics (there are more Turks taking Swedish classes than any other nationality), I had a very easy, slow day which involved a bit of cleaning, dog walking and dead soldiering. All typical Saturday fare for me.
One other thing…I finished Squid Game today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I’m hanging out for season 2. In passing, Amanda has a list on her phone of all the South Korean dramas she’s watched. The list is very long.
Watching Korean TV appears to be Amanda’s retirement project…
