The clocks went back in the early hours of this morning. These days, of course, most of the clocks turn themselves back. Well, they do in our house. There is the big red clock and a few of Mirinda’s watches but, it’s so not like the old days when you’d spent most of the day changing the time.
Mind you, I never bother with the cookers or microwave or e-Readers or car. The e-Readers and car are right for half the year, so why change them? As for the cookers and microwave…what’s the point?
And yet, Twitter was full of people moaning about having to change the time this morning. Seriously? Some people just moan about the stupidest things. In the meanwhilst, the country is ruled by wealth and corruption and the climate is going to kill all of us. Those things they put up with; changing the time on clocks and watches? They really hate that inconvenience.
Then there’s the ones who feel it is damaging them personally. Spare a thought for this poor fellow:

I take no comfort in the fact that he’s named Gary. And, I’m not 100% certain, but I think IUA might stand for I’m Unusually Awkward.
Anyway, as I said, it was not an inconvenience for me. Mind you, I did have to do more than just move the time around. For us (and quite a lot of other Scandinavians) it’s time for hygge.
The time when the tablecloth comes out and the house is made all cosy for the early sunsets. A time when the lights are replaced by candles. A time when we truly embrace campfire hours.

Dinner was pork with green butter and was delicious. The crackling was particularly good as were the swede parmesan chips.
