When the rain is constant

We were sitting in the Holly Bush this morning when a couple walked in and greeted the owner. They sat down with him and they all chatted away, happily. It turns out that they were all old friends who hadn’t seen each other for 20 years. The couple were staying at the Frensham Ponds Hotel and thought they’d just pop over to the pub on spec.

The day was f0recast to be full of rain. The forecast turned out to be correct.

Mirinda had planned to go for a walk with the girls but, given the almost constant rain, she decided against it. We stayed at the pub a bit longer instead.

Back at home, we didn’t do very much for the rest of the day. It was really the only way to enjoy the weather. From the inside.

I made Sabrina’s spicy hot pot which proved to be excellent comfort food on a less than comfortable day.
