I spent today working from home. With my new promotion, I am now entering information directly onto the site which I have to say, is deeply satisfying. Given I have a great belief in universal access to information, anything that speeds up delivery has my backing. As Kirsty said, it also means I’m in an exclusive club to which only a few volunteers are given access.
And so I worked away, learning the database and working out what to do. Mirinda was still in town because she had a sort of Ben Memorial Drink event last night so it was just me and the girls and some classical music.
Naturally there was a walk in the park, which looked remarkably bleak. It wasn’t particularly, it just looked it.
We met quite a few dogs today. They always tend to come and want to say hello to antisocial Emma but wind up being hassled by squeaky Freya. Unusually, Freya was very happy to be patted by humans today. Perhaps she’s bored with having just me for company.
Walk over, it was back to work. Mirinda was due to come home but the trains out of Waterloo were stuffed up so she returned to the flat and we talked on the phone instead.
Apres dinner, while deciding which episode of something to watch, I noticed that Suicide Squad has been added to Netflix. Obviously Tom had told me about it when it originally came out. Equally naturally, I had to watch it. It’s safe to say that I enjoyed it. Mind you, it was pretty dark and Will Smith makes an interesting baddie.
While bed was a welcome friend, I think the film affected my Dreaming Capacity. While not littered with evil taking over the world or mad women in pigtails with baseball bats, it’s safe to say that the foreboding was palpable.
