Plantings

While we were away the garden flourished. Apparently there was a bit of rain, if the water butt is anything to go by, something we’re glad about, so the grass needed a good mow. It also means the weeds have gone a bit mad. We had a pleasant surprise with a big bunch of daisies in the hot border. And, of course, we have to plant up some bedding plants. This meant a trip to the garden centre. Which we did today.

A huge trolley full later, we started. My herb table was looking a bit devastated so I pulled out the old and planted some new mint, parsley and thyme ready for the kitchen in a few weeks. Meanwhile Mirinda planted up some pots, giving the patio area a lot of much needed colour. It’s amazing what a few bright red geraniums will do.

I also spent a lot of time sorting and creating photo albums of our trip. Rather than one long continuous album, I split them into three. One for Zurich, Como and, finally Venice. They can be found on the main page here.

I also put up another video. This is one of our trips on Lake Como.

Finally I finished off the accounts for our latest holiday. They were very, very scary. Still, it was our 20th.
