All the news…almost

I’m including a few photos I took along the way today so they don’t necessarily match anything in the text. I just like them, is all.

A grime and damp Lion and Lamb Yard

I had an early Talking Newspaper today. It was the Farnham edition which means I get a good second half of the day not in the studio.

The recording went well (no exploding lights this time), nice and dull, just like they want. Mind you, I’m starting to get a bit bored by it now. I’m not sure how much longer I can last. If I wanted to pretend to be someone else, I’d have stayed being an actor!

West Street after the rain

Anyway, enough of that. The session went fine and afterwards (and after shopping) I stopped off at my favourite pub for a beer on the way home. Normally I can’t do that because I don’t like leaving the puppies but given Mirinda was at home, I felt that I could. So I did. A pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord in the Nelson’s Arms was just what I needed.

I managed to get home before the rain restarted – I’d been in the studio when it rained earlier. In fact the rain stayed away until we sat down to dinner though it was gloomy all day.

The park, on the way home

Actually, thinking about the park, there was a funny piece on the I Love Farnham Facebook page today. Someone was asking about where the Park was and someone else admitted having lived in South Farnham for ten years and they had no idea there was this massive park on the other side. I think they realised there was a castle.

Another bit of the walk home

That was pretty much my day.

Oops, I almost forgot…HAPPY DIWALI!!! We’ll be leaving a light on for Lakshmi to find her way home tonight.
